Comprehensive Medical Review Services, LLC (CMRS) was founded with a clear purpose: to restore the level of quality, responsiveness, and customer service that has steadily declined within the Independent Review Organization (IRO) industry over the past decade.

CMRS’s senior leadership team brings decades of experience in peer review, utilization review, disability review, and claims management. Throughout those years, we witnessed a significant shift in the industry as many respected regional and boutique IROs were acquired by large national organizations. While consolidation created scale, it often came at the expense of personalized service, communication, consistency, and report quality. Front-line professionals – including claims adjusters, nurse case managers, utilization management teams, and employers – were increasingly left navigating delayed responses, inconsistent reporting, and a lack of meaningful partnership from their review vendors.

CMRS was created to provide a different experience.
